For the dance classes with Alberto please wear comfortable shoes with good all around support to keep your feet in them as you are dancing.

Any footwear you are wearing is okay but if you have a choice...
Please do not wear boots or shoes with rubber soles if you can avoid them.
It is hard to learn turns in rubber soled shoes. There is too much friction on the floor to turn easily. Boots do not allow enough flexibility around the ankle and throughout the foot to place and flex the foot properly.

Wear comfortable casual clothing.

Most dance locations have no restriction on the type of shoes you wear and street shoes are usually acceptible. but...

IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that you invest in a comfortable pair of dance shoes if you are want to "become a good dancer" and to maximize the benefits from and the enjoyment of dance.

Shoes that are manufactured for dance ARE AUTHORIZED TO BE WORN THE BEST HARD WOOD DANCE FLOORS EVERYWHERE.
